Being theatrical about your future of work.

Being theatrical about your future of work.

We are really excited about the NIDA  intereactive workshop ‘Working the room: practical skills for better networking’   which will be held at the Future of Work: People, Place, Technology. It is always interesting to consider when the arts can lend lessons to doing business better, and the skills of the future of work are all greatly enhanced by artistic skills.

We asked NIDA what they consider to be the workplace, and future of work, benefits of applying acting techniques to your workday routine and here is what they told us:

  • Increased confidence
  • Greater physical and vocal awareness
  • Enhanced creativity
  • Ability to respond in the moment under pressure
  • Techniques to build rapport
  • Techniques to manage nerves
  • Presenting to media and other external stakeholders with confidence

The future of work looks dull without personal connection and effective communication. NIDA Corporate draws on the actor’s toolkit to deliver practical skills-based training to for individuals and businesses in the public and private sectors. NIDA Corporate is delivering Working The Room at the Future of Work conference to help you build rapport and make connections in social and networking situations. Boost your communication, learn physical awareness and practice vocal techniques in this practical, down-to-earth training session – and walk away with a whole new suite of skills to work with.
