Bamini is completing her PhD in the field of service environment design and management at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT University) Australia. As an academic scholarship recipient from Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia, Bamini served as an academic at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Accountancy, University of Malaysia Sabah teaching Marketing Management, Marketing research and Consumer Behaviour. She has received an Excellent Service Award and Meritorious Service Awards for her academic and research contribution with University Malaysia Sabah. Her research work on brand personality and brand placement has won outstanding research awards by The Institute for Business and Finance Research, Hawaii, USA with subsequent publications in International Journal of Management and Marketing Research and Business Education & Accreditation.
Bamini’s PhD research explores how coworking space organizations design and manage their service environment in a way that creates value in use experiences for the coworking members, impact their behavioural intentions and performance simultaneously. While her service environment model focuses on coworking spaces, her model can be extended to other service organizations. Furthermore, the exploration of service landscape stimulus of coworking spaces is a great contribution to the emerging coworking space industry in Australia and international. Her work has been published and presented at the World Marketing Congress by Academy of Marketing Science.
Bamini also teaches organizational behaviour and principles of management at Department of Marketing and Management in University of Melbourne. She enjoys living in Melbourne community and being part of the academic institution here for the past three years.
